Microcourse: AI Applications and Fundamentals of Python Coding

By the end of this couse course, students will go from never having written a single line of code to being able to build an AI model, called a neural network, that can learn from data to make decisions and predictions. Through this process, students will develop an understanding of fundamental computer science concepts and learn to code in Python, the programming language of choice for AI scientists. In particular, students will learn how neural networks are used in various applications relevant to students’ lives such as: enabling self-driving cars to drive safely, providing useful recommendations in social media and entertainment, making medical diagnoses, classifying different animal species,Etc. This course will instill a deep sense of curiosity about such technologies and their impact. Students will leave this course having created a functional and sophisticated computer program and wanting to learn more.
